[SOLVED] "usb 3-1.4: can't set config #1, error -32"

Post by Newb42 »

I have a generic powered amazon usb switcher. suddenly all usb devices on that will not work for ~10-15sec after the login screen. it works fine in grub and worked well on older version of mint and on windows. when I look in driver manager there are no drivers displayed. I am not sure what I need to do to fix or get the old drivers back.

update: I switched kernal to 6.5.0-26-generic x86_64 which made boot take longer rather than freezing on the login screen

Ive attached what I think may be usefull. let me know ifI should add anything else

this is output from lsusb:

Re: "usb 3-1.4: can't set config #1, error -32"

Im tenatively marking this solved. I didnt see an improvement after initially installing 6.5.0-26-generic /rebooting a couple times, but a day later I got some more updates and it no longer has such an obnoxiously long delay. The error message turned into "id-generic 0003:1532:0531.0006: No inputs registered, leaving" and im satisfied with that for now
