I get this error message !

The repository may no longer be available or could not be contacted due to
network issues. An older version of the index will be used if available.

Check your network connection and make sure the repository address in the settings is correct.

I get that for google-earth and just ignore it, without apparent detriment.

What does this mean: ???
It means you're missing the appropriate signing key for that repository.

Add the appropriate signing key for the repository (or repositories) that are giving the message *OR* remove whatever applications you installed from them, and then remove the repositories.
