I have found the culprit, it's the display widget I made. It has several xrandr commands and these seem to be slowing my PC to a standstill.

I believe the solution would be getting the xrandr commands printed to a dump file via a bash script like my gpu widget does. I don't know how to script it and I suspect it is beyond the capacity of the online resources I know of, but I will see what I can get generated.

My display widget was what was slowing comp down to a crawl with multiple xrandr and edid command calls. I have just replicated the display.conf with 3 monitor.sh bash files and the horrendous load on my system is gone. I can watch YouTube videos without pauses or skips now with everything running :D
