Hello all,
I'm very new to linux in general. But I'm having an issue, that nobody in the newbie help second seems to be able to help with.
So, I just installed the latest version of Mint on a refurbished Dell Latitude E6420. This one to be exact. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product. ... 77G7965331.
When I click on the listing of available wifi connections, and click on my companies wifi connection, the circle animation starts spinning. Then, when the available list refreshes, and its like I never clicked on the network connection in the first place. I also get this issue, when I try to conneciton to my local ISP (Optimum) wifi hotspot. Though I'm not sure if the hotspot uses the same encryption.
So far, I'm at a complete loss as to how to trouble shoot this. I don't get an error message/sound. So I can't determine the issue. Does anyone know of any reason why Mint, out of the box, wouldn't be able to connect to an EAP network?

I'm going to go ahead and bump this thread. Entirely because I'm still completely lost, and google isn't returning anything useful.
Does anyone have a place to start troubleshooting this?

I just figured it out! I found the Answer in here: viewtopic.php?t=188155.
I'm on my Company Wifi right now, thanks to this.Re: Network Manager won't ask for password

I found a simple solution:
Open 'Network Settings'
Choose 'Connect to a Hidden Network'
For Network Name, put the name of the network (in my case is was 'eduroam')
For Network Security, choose 'WPA & WPA2 Enterprise'
For Authentication, choose the last option: Protected EAP (PEAP)
Then add your username and password
Hope this helps someone else.
